The Parent Support Group (PSG) provides a great opportunity for us to be closer to our children, understand them better, and help them in their education journey. Our children also benefit when we are more active in their school environment. We could participate via invitation to school event or sign up for parent child bonding activities or workshop

HS Secondary Signature workshop R3

HS PSG R3 is a workshop proudly organised by HS Parent Support Group with support from school management. We believe in strengthening families bonding in Hougang Secondary School. R3 stands for Re-bond, Re-build and Re-connect. This is what we hope to achieve through the R3 workshop

R3 is no longer a camp but a half day family bonding workshop. The workshop is based on Gary Chapman Five Love Languages. According to Chapman, there are five basic love languages – five ways to express love emotionally. Each person has a primary love language that we must learn to speak if we want that person to feel loved. We believed his ideas can help parents transform their relationships with their children.

Many times, such workshops are conducted based on a sit through session attended by parents only. However, our workshop emphasizes on learning and understanding each other primary love languages together as a family and reinforcing the concept via simple activities.
